Salary: Competitive, starting from c. £30,000 (subject to experience)

About Us
Construction Isle of Man (CIOM) is the industry body dedicated to promoting and supporting the Island’s construction sector. We set standards, provide accreditation, and connect businesses and professionals, working closely with government, industry partners, and the public.
We are seeking a Membership & Engagement Coordinator to strengthen our team by driving membership growth, building strong relationships, delivering engaging communications, organising and coordinating impactful events. The role will also provide administrative and governance support to ensure CIOM operates efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Growth & Engagement (Primary)
- Drive the growth of CIOM’s membership through proactive engagement and relationship building.
- Manage membership enquiries, applications, and onboarding processes.
- Maintain strong, supportive relationships with existing members, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
- Promote CIOM’s membership benefits to prospective members and industry stakeholders.
Communications & Marketing (Primary)
- Develop and deliver engaging communications, including monthly newsletters and digital campaigns.
- Manage CIOM’s social media presence to raise the organisation’s profile and visibility.
- Keep the CIOM website updated with news, events, and relevant industry content.
- Act as first point of contact for member and public enquiries, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
Events & Sponsorship (Primary)
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver CIOM events including training, networking sessions, and conferences.
- Work with sponsors and partners to create and maintain sponsorship opportunities.
- Represent CIOM at industry events and community engagement activities.
Administration & Governance
- Provide administrative support, including busy periods and staff absence.
- Assist in coordinating board meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes.
- Support budget tracking, record keeping, and compliance with GDPR and Isle of Man regulations.
Success Measures
- Growth in membership numbers and retention rates.
- Positive member feedback and increased engagement.
- Strong visibility of CIOM through communications and events.
- Smooth delivery of events, sponsorships, and member services.
- Timely and professional support for board and governance processes.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Experience in marketing, communications, or membership services.
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident using digital platforms (social media, website CMS, email marketing tools, CRM systems).
Desirable:
- Experience in event planning and coordination.
- Familiarity with the construction industry or professional membership organisations.
- Business development or sponsorship management experience.
- Qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
